St. Regis Bali: indulgence and luxury in Nusa Dua, Bali

St. Regis Bali: indulgence and luxury in Nusa Dua, Bali

Welcome to paradise!

The St. Regis Bali Resort is the pinnacle of style and the true expression of luxury.

Its motto is “Beyond Expectations” and by god that’s how you feel from the moment you arrive to the point of departure.

This is the perfect destination for honeymooners and couples looking for their dream romantic 5 star luxury holiday.

St. Regis Resort Nusa Dua romantic luxury escape in Bali

The St. Regis in Nusa Dua, Bali was our romantic and luxury escape

The St. Regis is located in South Bali on the pristine white sand beach of Nusa Dua with infinite panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.

Nusa Dua is 12.5km away from the Denpasar International Airport and far far away from all the noise and traffic of Kuta.

This is Bali’s finest address where all the large 5 star resorts are based.

Our suite at the St. Regis was just incredible with plenty of space. We had our own private balcony and plush, really comfortable king size bed.

After trekking Mount Rinjani volcano on Lombok island, this was a great way to relax and recover.

The custom designed bathroom includes double basins and one very large bath tub (with TV!) for many romantic evenings with your other half.

Beware, once you’ve stepped into their saltwater lagoon, you’ll end up staying there all day long…

Sebastien enjoying the large salt water lagoon of the St. Regis Bali Resort a little longer then he should…!

The St. Regis has 9 hectares of lush gardens with 3,668 squared metres of crystal blue salted water lagoons with some very cool and romantic sun loungers and mini day beds.

If you stay in one of the distinct Lagoon Villas, you have direct access to the expansive lagoon from your personal terrace.

This is one of the most stunning swimming pools we have ever seen in our travels. What made it that extra bit special was that despite the St Regis being almost full, the lagoon was so large that it felt like we had it all to ourselves.

The seductive private beachfront overlooks the endless Indian Ocean with dedicated sun beds. We enjoyed a good few refreshing cocktails right here.

The beachfront is also a popular setting for weddings with its own Cloud Nine Chapel. We watched couples exchanging their vows on the beach, with the Indian Ocean backdrop and the sound of the waves in the background.

The St. Regis has an array of excellent in house restaurants, like Boneka. We tried the gourmet breakfast and were completely blown away!

Fried eggs seared with duck foie gras anyone? Followed by a wagyu beef steak with a fried egg and slow roasted tomato gratin? Complemented with river lobster omelette served in bisque and wild arugala leaves?

You will be spoilt rotten by the delicious breakfast at Boneka. Just don't do what greedy Sebastien did and order 6 plates of each one…

With all that fine dining at breakfast, you may want to do a bit of fitness. The St. Regis has an excellent 24/7 Fitness Centre with well-equipped gym to keep those pecs firm and stomach flat.

The fitness centre also holds daily exercise classes like circuit training, yoga and core classes. The nearby private beach is also excellent for morning jogs.

“NO I DON'T WANT TO GO JOGGING!” cried a surprised Stefan…

We were warmly welcomed with extremely cheerful staff who had no issue about us being a gay couple or wanting a double bed. We noticed quite a large number of gay couples also staying here.

The St. Regis prides itself on their impeccable signature 24 hours Butler service.

A Butler is always on hand to assist with anything you may want, from helping you to unpack your bags to delivering the morning paper to your door (in this very cute bag):

As caffeine addicts, we particularly loved our Butler for bringing us delicious coffee to our suite at any hour of the day (it is a 24 hours service after all!).

The St. Regis Resort Bali was an incredibly memorable experience for us during our travels and a truly inspiring way to envisage how we could spend our own honeymoon one day.

Though this welcome note typo did make us giggle quite a bit!
