Looking for the best gay-friendly hotels in Greece? We’ve rounded up the top spots that roll out the rainbow carpet, from luxurious Mykonos resorts to charming boutique stays in Athens and beyond.
Not to be dramatic, but choosing the wrong hotel can ruin a Greek getaway faster than Seby can down a shot of ouzo (which, for the record, is very fast).
We’ve had it all: luxury stays that made us feel like Greek gods, and a few places so dodgy we half-expected Hades himself to check us in. But when you get it right? It’s heaven.
Greece is one of our all-time favorite places. We rate it as one of our favorite gay honeymoon destinations: stunning islands, gorgeous men (whoops, we meant landscapes…), and a rich queer history that dates back to the toga-wearing days of yore.

But not every hotel rolls out the rainbow carpet as it should. We’ve put together this guide to the best gay-friendly stays across Greece. Some we’ve stayed in ourselves, some recommended by fellow LGBTQ+ travelers, and others backed by the Booking.com #TravelProud certification.
So grab your best Speedo, practice your ‘Kalimera!', and let’s find you the perfect place to lay your fabulous little head…'cause nothing kills a holiday mood faster than bad WiFi, tiny beds, or a reception desk that looks at you sideways when you request a double. We recommend bookmarking this article alongside our detailed gay travel guide to Greece to complement your holiday planning.

The rooms are so crisp and stylish, it almost felt wrong to dump our sweaty beach bags on the bed.
Waking up to breakfast by the pool was a daily highlight, fueling us up for another day of beach-hopping and gay bar-hopping (hydration is important, people). And while Mykonos nightlife is legendary, being able to escape back to a peaceful, air-conditioned suite at the end of the night? Priceless!

And then there’s Nafplio, easily one of the most romantic places we’ve ever set foot in. Think Venetian vibes, cobbled streets, and a fortress so dramatic it could be the setting of a Greek soap opera. And those sunsets!
It’s not Mykonos-level wild, but that’s exactly why we love it. Here are two gorgeous gay friendly places to stay while soaking up all that Nafplio magic.

It’s got history, it’s got food (seriously, eat EVERYTHING!), and it’s got a buzzing LGBTQ+ scene that makes nights out here dangerously fun. Whether you're here for the waterfront sunsets, the endless meze, or just to see how long you can last in a Greek club before admitting defeat, these are the best places to stay while soaking up the city’s magic.

“Seby, I think we’ve accidentally booked a hotel in heaven!” That was my first thought stepping onto the terrace at Petra Hotel & Suites on Patmos island. This place is serene, like, ‘maybe I should finally try meditation’ levels of peaceful.
Perched above Grikos Bay, it’s got postcard-worthy views of the Aegean, the kind that make you want to sit back with a glass of wine and contemplate your best gay life.
The suites are all whitewashed walls, stylish minimalism, and private terraces where we spent far too much time pretending we lived here permanently. Breakfast included freshly baked pastries, local cheeses, and honey so good we considered smuggling a jar home.
