We’ve rounded up the best gay-friendly hotels in Mykonos, whether you’re here to party, unwind in luxury, or wake up to the perfect sea view. Because in Mykonos, where you stay matters!
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our many gay trips to Mykonos, it’s this: your hotel can make or break your gaycation. Sure, the island itself is a non-stop party, but trust us, nothing kills the post-beach glow faster than coming back to a hotel that’s got all the charm of an airport lounge.
Or worse, one that doesn’t understand that yes, two men do want that honeymoon suite, and no, we don’t need twin beds, thank you very much!
Luckily, we’ve done the (ahem!), exhausting work of scouting out the best hotels that are as fabulous as Mykonos itself. We’re talking infinity pools with views that make your ex jealous, breakfasts that could cure even the wildest JackieO’s hangover, and, most importantly, a crowd that understands that SPF is essential, speedos are encouraged, and a little bit of eye candy never hurt anyone.

Whether you’re here to party, relax, or live out your best Mamma Mia fantasy (don’t lie, we all do it), we’ve got the ultimate guide to the best gay hotels in Mykonos. Because when it comes to this island, you deserve nothing but the best.
We've featured a mix of hotels we've personally tried and hotels recommended/rated by fellow LGBTQ+ travelers. We've cross-referenced this with hotels that have obtained the Booking.com #TravelProud certification, a mark of fabulousness that confirms it has undergone the Proud Hospitality training to ensure it is welcoming to all, especially LGBTQ+ travelers! Be sure to also use our gay Greece travel guide to plan out the rest of your trip in the Hellenic Republic.

Is Mykonos safe for gay travelers?
From our own first-hand experience, we can confidently say that Mykonos is a terrific haven for gay travelers. Seby and I have sashayed through its charming streets, basked on its sun-kissed beaches, and reveled in the vibrant nightlife, all while feeling warmly embraced by the island's inclusive spirit. Whether we were dancing the night away at iconic spots like JackieO' or enjoying a romantic dinner in Mykonos main town, the island welcomed us with open arms and a (pretty pricey!) cocktail in hand.
However, it's essential to note that while Mykonos radiates LGBTQ+ friendliness, some of the more rural parts of Greece might not share the same level of acceptance. During a quaint excursion to a remote village when exploring the gay scene of Crete, Seby and I noticed a few raised eyebrows when we held hands. While nothing untoward happened, it served as a gentle reminder to be mindful of local sensibilities when venturing off the beaten path.
On a broader scale, the LGBTQ+ laws of Greece have made significant strides. In February 2024, Greece became the first Orthodox Christian country to legalize same-sex marriage, a monumental leap forward for equality. This legislation also extended parental rights, allowing same-sex couples to adopt children. Additionally, in 2022, Greece banned conversion therapy for minors, further solidifying its commitment to protecting LGBTQ+ individuals.
While these legal advancements are commendable, it's worth noting that societal attitudes in Greece can vary, especially in more conservative regions. The British Foreign Office has issued advisories highlighting incidents of discrimination in certain areas, urging LGBTQ+ travelers to exercise discretion, particularly in rural locales.

Highlights
- Private pool with panoramic views
- Chic Italian-inspired luxury vibes
- On-site fine dining at Vitto
- Spa treatments for post-party recovery
Seby and I love a good dose of drama, but only when it comes to ocean views and villa aesthetics. Enter Collini Villas Mykonos, where Italian elegance meets Greek island charm in the most fabulous way possible.
Perched on a serene hill, the hotel gives you sweeping Aegean views so gorgeous they made Seby *gay* gasp (a rare sight, since usually I’m the dramatic one).
Our villa had its own private pool, perfect for a morning dip or an impromptu Baywatch run, purely for research, of course…
The interiors? Sleek, modern, and Instagram-ready, making us feel like we’d walked into an influencer’s dream. The on-site Vitto Restaurant serves next-level Italian cuisine, which meant Seby had to physically drag me away from the fresh pasta. Add in spa treatments and staff who make you feel like a VIP, and you’ve got a gay Mykonos stay that’s as glamorous as it is relaxing.

- Rain showers with color therapy
- Proximity to Platys Gialos and Psarou beaches
Nestled between the iconic Platys Gialos and Psarou beaches, Mykonian Mews offers a trio of suites that perfectly blend Cycladic tradition with modern flair.
Seby couldn't stop raving about the luxurious floating beds adorned with 100% Egyptian organic cotton linens…trust me, it's like sleeping on a cloud! Naturally, I tested this by dramatically starfishing across the entire bed while Seby rolled his eyes.
Our suite featured a private outdoor hot tub, where we spent countless evenings unwinding after exploring the island (and by unwinding, I mean sipping wine while dramatically discussing which beach boy was our favorite of the day).
The en-suite bathroom, equipped with a walk-in rain shower and color therapy lighting, added a spa-like touch to our stay. With the island's vibrant nightlife just a stone's throw away, Mykonian Mews served as the perfect romantic retreat amidst the Mykonian buzz, close enough for fun, yet peaceful enough for beauty sleep.

After a few too many one more drinks at JackieO’s, Seby and I desperately needed a recovery zone, and Maregold Mykonos delivered!
Nestled near the peaceful Lia Beach, this adults-only hideaway is where you go when you want to escape the chaos but still feel like the fabulous Mykonos queen you are.
The design is all earthy tones, chic minimalism, and natural stone, like a Pinterest board for Cycladic luxury. Our suite had a private pool, which we naturally used for dramatic slow-motion entrances (because why else have one?).
Mornings meant coffee on our sun-drenched terrace. And evenings? Watching the sunset, wine in hand, feeling super sophisticated. The staff were next-level amazing, one even recommended the best beach for spotting handsome Greek men. Priorities. If you want relaxation without sacrificing style, this is the spot.

Due Mari Mykonos

Some hotels just *get* what we need as gay travelers in Mykonos. Due Mari Mykonos is one of them.
Nestled near Ornos Beach, this place gives you the best of both worlds: far enough for some peace, but close enough to dive straight into Mykonos’ fabulous chaos whenever the urge strikes (which, let’s be honest, is often).
The design? Sleek Cycladic luxury with a modern twist. Our suite came with a huge private terrace, which Seby immediately claimed for morning coffee and an unnecessary amount of shirtless selfies. The pool area was pure vacation goals, with plush sunbeds perfect for recovering from last night’s questionable decisions.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get better? They offer private yacht rentals. Because if you’re in Mykonos and not dramatically lounging on a yacht, are you even doing it right?

Surrounded by olive trees and native greenery, the hotel's tranquil ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for our Mykonian adventure, aka a much-needed break from the island’s dangerously tempting party scene.
Our suite was a harmonious blend of bespoke furnishings and luxury amenities, with a bed so plush I briefly considered canceling all plans and committing to a nap-based vacation. The private terrace became our morning coffee spot, complete with sea views and the occasional dramatic reading of our horoscopes.
The staff were wonderfully attentive, one even suggested the best time for golden hour selfies (a true professional). Ezio Bo’s warm hospitality and attention to detail make it an ideal choice for LGBTQ+ travelers seeking a peaceful yet stylish retreat.
