We absolutely loved our stay at Piece Lio! This boutique hotel truly exceeded all our expectations and made our El Nido experience unforgettable. - The location is absolutely perfect—just a 2-3 minute walk to beautiful Lio Beach, and conveniently close to El Nido Airport. We could easily explore both the beach and nearby restaurants without any hassle. The hotel also offers free shuttle to and from the airport, as well as free shuttle to and from the town. Perfect for seniors and babies as it’s close to the airport and Lio beach. - Our room was really spacious, immaculately (exceptionally spotless!) clean, and beautifully designed with modern amenities. The view, the Japanese toilet, the modern facilities! We booked the presidential loft and it is just so magnificent that we opted to extend our stay for one more day! - The free coffee and snacks are also great! They have high quality coffee; you can ask the barista however you’d like your coffee. There’s a minibar with some quick snacks and drinks and still water for your daily water supply. Good thing is you are allowed to cook! As a big family, it would be more reasonable for us to cook. My mom also has diet restrictions so we can prepare her meals conveniently inside the unit. - Wi-Fi is also reliable in every corner if you need to get some quick work done as well. They also have their own generator; El Nido is known for frequent power interruptions during rainy season. - Very instagrammable pool and garden corners. I highly commend the gardener—it’s amazing to see how every piece of plants are brought together and how they are very well-maintained. The place is also teeming with wildlife, we have seen wild monkeys, squirrels, and dogs! - The staff at Piece Lio are truly what set this place apart. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We’re able to check in early and have accommodated our requests.

My husband and I stayed in the Sunset room which has its own small pool and a gorgeous view of the street, the beach front and the ocean. We had a projector connected to an Apple TV in our room. This is the most modern, and easily the fanciest hotel we saw in this part of El Nido. There were many included services such as free unlimited breakfast at the location of your choosing (beach, bar, or in your room) with espresso drinks from the bar, free scooters, free rides in their buggy jeep, free kayak rentals, and they had drones for rent too. Their Filipino Traditional breakfast tasted amazing and we chose to have breakfast on the beach every morning. They provided unlimited water bottles as well. There were a handful of delicious restaurants around in walking distance. It seemed like it was mostly couples who were staying at our hotel, leaning slightly older than the rest of the town which seemed like all back-packers. Their manager Carlos was so friendly and helpful and offered to arrange anything we needed like island hopping tours, etc. The rest of the staff were very accommodating too.

This place is amazing! If you're looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful to relax, then this is it. The infinity pool is beautiful (and cleaned daily), and the view is incredible. The gardens are very cute, and its great that all of the cabins are made from sustainable materials. They run pretty much off grid with solar power, so it's not just "Eco" in name. They also grow most of their own vegetable which is great. I was a bit worried by the other reviews mentioning the high price of the food, but having tried it, I totally get it. It's actually not so high if you consider the quality of the food (very good cooks!) and the fact its all organic and either grown onsite or locally sourced. I would just say that there really are no other options nearby, so you have to eat all meals here, so because of that it might not be an option to stay here if you are travelling on a very tight budget. All in all though, I would highly recommend!

Bibi (the housekeeper) and the owners were so incredibly friendly, they made me feel at home. The breakfast was incredible, the best meal I've had yet in the Philippines. The location is convenient, right along the main road, and yet the bedroom was very quiet and peaceful with strong air conditioning, really nice amenities. I would recommend it!

Very nice and spacious room with AC which is a must in Coron. The bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows. Extremely clean overall and a very good value for money. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to assist us. Overall I highly recommend this place especially since it's located in a good and safe location next to the police station.

I rarely give a 10 rating to a place but this one is so outstanding that it deserves the highest. Unfortunately you won’t find another place like this for this value in the Philippines. The host are gracious and super attentive and the place feels like home. Stephan also organized a really nice island hopping for us.

El Nido for me is outdated and highly commercialized to those who can afford a mid range scenario and you will stay in Rizal street it’s full of dog shit and many vendor just sale there table in streeet it makes the street small i used 3 toilet around el nido and you can’t even find one clean, the smell is awful. And still not automated flush. I went to blessed massage parlor someone is showering in there bathroom I think there staff and cockroache is just crawling in there reception wall. The beaches and water is nice, but if you dive to see the corals it’s mostly dead. El nido needs to get some work done and protect its nature, around el nido you can see it’s not clean garbage dead trees not fix. It’s crowded and it disturb the habitat of the fish .

LOVED the tours and the beautiful landscape! But wouldn't recommend staying in Coron for over 2 days - there isn't anything to do outside of boat tours, and the city isn't built for tourism. We stayed away from tap water and seafood (too many bad stories) and got around with trikes and tour vans.

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the beach and on one day had coffee, adobo and itlog in a small cafe there. Everyone was very friendly, and I bought some Pasalubong, when they did not have my tee shirt size, they went to another shop to get it for me and to get change when I gave them 1000 peso note. I asked directions to the falls, but no one was exactly sure where it was or how long it would take to get there. The place was secure (police station at the wharf and coastguard and army regularly on patrol in the area. I eventually found the park that a friend recommended (5 km from the hotel) and had an excellent buffet lunch there twice and again they made Chester very welcome, the park was free and had some interesting, recycled artworks and a tribute to the devastation in the area by Typhoon Odette- well worth a visit. Also visit Buenavista viewpoint- the local community run it and you can get Buko juice, coffee, snacks and Pasalubong plus take great photos of the bay

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weather

I don't recommend Taytay unless you wanna see a town without tourists. There is a micro dirty beach in the center. It was fiesta time so a lot of people and a lively town, with music non stop, which was nice. We went on an island hopping tour which was private because there was no one else, and we had to pay 4500p for 2 people, without lunch, for 3 stops. We didn't go very far. The snorkeling in front of Elephant island was actually nice and colorful, the small hidden lagoon was interesting, but the water is not crystal clear like in El Nido, and the sand is not white. The 2 beaches where we stopped were quite dirty and snorkeling was not interesting there. Maybe you need to go a bit further... Anyway after seeing El Nido, Coron and Port Barton, I wouldn't recommend Taytay which doesn't add much to the trip I think
