Location was excellent. Close to the beach but off the main road so not noisy. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

A little off the main road. Surprisingly quiet although it's so close to the bustle and the beach. Best location if you want to be between the 3 beaches of mirissa, have plenty of restaurant options but still feel like you're tucked away with greenery around your balcony. The deluxe double room is spacious, with a beautiful canopy bed and large mosquito net over, and nice heavy curtains that shield from the sun. The bathroom is spacious, but needs to be closed at all times to keep mosquitoes out of the bedroom. Bring deet spray! It is impossible to get away from them entirely. It's the tropics after all. I enjoyed the large vanity table and mirror. We had enough space to Hang clothing and wet beach attire. We stayed for a whole week and were happy. It's nicer and pricier than a cheap backpackers hostel, but still relatively simple and not luxurious. If that medium is your thing, you'll be comfortable here.

Little garden area just behind the busy street, so you almost don't notice you are in the middle of town and still enjoy that you are so close of everything. The room with airco was really comfortable.

Best place that I stayed in Sri Lanka! The only proper shower that I took in Sri Lanka. Shower was strong and hot. AC was quiet. WiFi works properly. Location is super good.

Personal was very kindfull, rooms were very clean!! Hot water all day long, it was very close to the market and beach as well, close to the road but enought far you cant hear any voice from road. Nice garden.

The location was great, the beach just across the road and supermarket 3 min walk too. The room was very clean with lots of space! I enjoyed my time at Poppies, and I would easily recommend them. The restaurant was close, I guess, because it's raining season. Thank you!

Perfect location, along the main road and 2 min walk to the beach but the driveway is long enough with a small garden area leading to the hotel that you don’t hear any traffic or noise! There is a restaurant attached which I would recommend and the reception staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We had a great sleep- air con worked well and the bed had a thick, comfy mattress with a mosquito net. The hotel is slightly dated but has been up kept well to make a great stay. Mirissa beach is beautiful and had great shops, bars and restaurants, we wished we could have stayed longer

Staff were lovely and helpful, assisted with onward transport and activities, gave us water when shops closed. Room as pictured, comfortable with working aircon. Generator on from 6pm if power out which was much appreciated. Poppies delivers exactly as expected for great value.
